Inspection Procedure

1. Disconnect the S5 and T28 ECU connectors.
2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

   Standard resistance 

   TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   S5-11 (ENG+) - T28-14 (ENG+)	Below 1 Ω
   S5-13 (TRC-) - T28-17 (TRC-)	Below 1 Ω
   S5-18 (ENG-) - T28-15 (ENG-)	Below 1 Ω
   S5-20 (TRC+) - T28-16 (TRC+)	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to Next Step

1. Remove the skid control ECU but do not disconnect the connectors.
2. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 11 (ENG+) and 18 (ENG-) or 20 (TRC+) and 13 (TRC-) of the S5 skid control ECU.
3. Start the engine, and check the signal waveform.

   OK: Waveform is output as shown in illustration. 

NG: REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU 

OK: REPLACE TRANSLATE ECU
