Cigarette Lighter Assembly: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE CIGARETTE LIGHTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn the socket cap counterclockwise to remove it.
    2. Turn the ring nut counterclockwise to remove it. Remove the cigarette lighter from the hole bezel.
