Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 3 Seat belt is fastened Below 1 Ω
      1 - 3 Seat belt is unfastened 1M Ω or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

    2. Check the front seat inner illumination (see INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2 - 5 Seat belt is fastened 320 to 340 Ω
      1 - 2 Seat belt is unfastened 1,300 to 1,360 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.

    2. Check the front seat inner illumination (see INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).

  3. INSPECT OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR

    1. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Apply more than 147 N (15 kg, 33 lbf) to occupant detection sensor 50 kΩ or lower
      1 - 2 Seat belt is unfastened Above 50 kΩ

      If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.
