Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When the distance control ECU and/or ECM are replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed (See INSTALLATION
).
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING Techstream
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the CRUISE main indicator light comes on.DATA LIST
Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note CRUISE INDIC Turns CRUISE main indicator light ON / OFF - OK: Indicator light comes on.
NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to Next Step
- READ VALUE ON Techstream
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG), and turn the Techstream main switch on.
- Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the CRUISE main indicator light.
ECM (Cruise control):

OFF : "CCS READY" OFF2 OK: When the cruise control main switch is operated, the display changes as shown above.
HINT:
1 is OK, but 2 is NG → DTC output or ECM failure
NG: REPLACE ECM (See REMOVAL )
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
