Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When the distance control ECU and/or ECM are replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed (See INSTALLATION ).

INSPECT WIPER SYSTEM
Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .

OK: Wiper function is normal.

NG: GO TO WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM (W/O RAIN SENSOR)

OK: Go to Next Step

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

Disconnect the A8 and E11 connectors.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
A8-2 (WIP2) - E11-3(+2)	Always	Below 1 Ω
E11-3 (+2) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
