FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (w/ Occupant Classification ECU, Occupant Classification Sensor): Installation

  1. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU  (See REMOVAL  )
  2. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR 
    1. Install the occupant classification sensor with 2 new clips
      NOTE:
      • Do not reuse the clip.
      • Securely install the clip.
      • Do not reuse an occupant classification sensor which has been dropped.
      • Make sure that there is no foreign matter between the occupant classification sensor and seat assembly.

    2. Connect the connector and install the clamp
      NOTE:
      • Make sure the gel mat hose is closer to the floor than the main harness.
      • When setting the hose, make sure the hose is not twisted. 1 full twist or more will damage the hose.
      • Make sure the radius of the circular path of the hose is 20 mm (0.787 in.) or more.
      • Do not bend the pressure hose.
      • After connecting the connectors, make sure that the connectors are not strained or pulled apart.
      • Make sure that the pressure hose is not pinched between other components.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD RH  (See REASSEMBLY )
  4. INSTALL POWER SEAT SWITCH RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION )

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REASSEMBLY )

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REASSEMBLY )

  7. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REASSEMBLY ).

  8. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REASSEMBLY ).

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION ).

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT

  11. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION ).

  12. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION ).

  13. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION ).

  14. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION ).

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH 
  16. PERFORM REGISTRATION 
    1. If the occupant classification ECU has been replaced, perform registration (See REGISTRATION  ).
  17. ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK 
    1. If the occupant classification ECU has been replaced, perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check (See INITIALIZATION  ).
  18. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect the SRS warning light (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  ).
  19. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
