Occupant Classification Ecu: Installation

  1. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU 
    1. Install the occupant classification ECU with the 2 nuts

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf)

      NOTE:
      • If the occupant classification ECU has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the occupant classification ECU with a new one.
      • When installing the occupant classification ECU, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
      • Do not allow oil or grease to adhere to the occupant classification ECU during installation.
    2. Connect the connector
      NOTE: When connecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION )

  3. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION )

  4. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION )

  5. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION )

  6. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See INSTALLATION )

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH 
  8. PERFORM REGISTRATION 
    1. If the occupant classification ECU has been replaced, perform registration (See REGISTRATION  )
  9. ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK 
    1. If the occupant classification ECU has been replaced, perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check (See INITIALIZATION  ).
  10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect the SRS warning light (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  )
  11. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
