HINT.

If the following conditions are detected while the cruise control is in operation, the system clears the stored vehicle speed in the ECM and cancels the cruise control operation.

FAIL-SAFE CHART

CRUISE main indicator light blinks	There is open or short in stop light switch circuit There is problem with vehicle speed signal	Turn cruise control main switch on again
CRUISE main indicator light blinks	There is problem with input circuit of stop light switch circuit There is problem with cancel circuit There is problem with throttle position sensor and motor	Turn engine switch off then on again Turn cruise control main switch on again
CRUISE main indicator light goes off	Under the following conditions, the stored vehicle speed is maintained Vehicle speed is lower than low speed limit (approx 40 km/h (25 mph)) while running with cruise control on VSC system is operated	Push cruise control main switch to + (ACCEL)/RES (RESUME)
CRUISE main indicator light goes off	Vehicle speed is lower than stored speed by approx 16 km/h (10 mph) or more	Push cruise control main switch to - (COAST) / SET
