How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT.

• Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the dynamic radar cruise control system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP NEXT 
2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

   Standard Voltage: 11 to 14 V 

   If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding.

3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)* 
   1. Use the Techstream to check if the multiplex communication system (MPX) is functioning normally

   1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally

   1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
   2. Clear the DTCs.
   3. Recheck for DTCs Try to prompt the DTCs by simulating the original activity that the DTCs suggest.

   • When the distance control ECU is replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed (See INSTALLATION  ).
   • When the millimeter wave radar sensor is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed (See ADJUSTMENT  ).
