Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When using the Techstream with the engine switch off to troubleshoot: Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.
  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

    Result: 

    RESULT TABLE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC U0211, U0246, U1130* and U1131* are output A
    DTC U0211, U0246, U1130* or U1131* is output B
    No DTC is output C
    HINT:
    *: w/ Rear Climate Control Seat System

    B: GO TO DTC TABLE  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TABLE  )

    C: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH POSITION CONTROL ECU LH) 
    1. Disconnect the R2*1 or S15*2 module switch connectors.

      HINT:

      *1: w/o Ottoman

      *2: w/ Ottoman

    2. Disconnect the F25 ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance 

    w/o Ottoman: 

    TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    R2-6 (LIN) - F25-7 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
    R2-6 (LIN) or F25-7 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    w/ Ottoman: 

    TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    S15-3 (LIN) - F25-7 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
    S15-3 (LIN) or F25-7 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Standard voltage 

    w/o Ottoman: 

    TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    R2-6 (LIN) or F25-7 (LIN) - Body ground Always Below 1 V

    w/ Ottoman: 

    TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    S15-3 (LIN) or F25-7 (LIN) - Body ground Always Below 1 V

    NG:  Go to step  4

    OK: REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH  (See DISASSEMBLY )

  4. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the R2*1 or S15*2 module switch connectors.

      HINT:

      *1: w/o Ottoman

      *2: w/ Ottoman

    2. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Disconnect the F25 ECU connector.
    2. Recheck for DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

    Result: 

    RESULT TABLE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC U0211, U0246, U1130* and U1131* are output A
    DTC U0211 is output B
    HINT:
    *: w/ Rear Climate Control Seat System

    B: REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU RH 

    A: Go to next 

  6. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the F25 ECU connector.
    2. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
  7. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Disconnect the F25 ECU connector.
    2. Recheck for DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

    Result: 

    RESULT TABLE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC U0211 and U0246 are output C
    DTC U0211, U0246, U1130* and U1131* are output A
    DTC U0246 is output B
    HINT:
    *: w/ Rear Climate Control Seat System

    B: REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU LH 

    C: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    A: Go to next step 

  8. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the F25 ECU connector.
    2. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
  9. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Disconnect the F8 ECU connector.
    2. Recheck for DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

    Result: 

    RESULT TABLE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC U0211, U0246, U1130* and U1131* are output A
    DTC U1130* is output B
    HINT:
    *: w/ Rear Climate Control Seat System

    B: REPLACE REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU RH 

    A: Go to next step 

  10. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the F8 ECU connector.
    2. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
  11. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Disconnect the F28 ECU connector.
    2. Recheck for DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

    Result: 

    RESULT TABLE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC U0211, U0246, U1130* and U1131* are output A
    DTC U1131* is output B
    HINT:
    *: w/ Rear Climate Control Seat System

    B: REPLACE REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH 

    A: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
