Yaw Rate And Acceleration Sensor: Installation

NOTE: While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/ close the doors while the battery is connected.
  1. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR 
    1. Connect the sensor connector.
    2. Install the sensor with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Make sure the yaw rate sensor's identification number is 1.
      • Do not drop the yaw rate sensor. If it is dropped, do not use it.
      • Do not mistake the installation direction of the yaw rate sensor.
      • When installing the yaw rate sensor, make sure to avoid impact to the sensor.
      • After the installation, check that the yaw rate sensor is not tilted due to the floor carpet or any foreign matter.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT 
    1. Install the No. 1 duct with the 2 clips.
    2. Attach the connector clamp

  3. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL CONSOLE COVER LOWER  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE PANEL UPPER  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL NO. 3 BOX PANEL  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  12. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP  (See INSTALLATION )
  13. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
  15. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  16. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  17. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION 
    1. Perform the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration (see CALIBRATION  )
  18. CHECK YAW RATE SENSOR SIGNAL 
    1. Check the yaw rate sensor signal (see TEST MODE PROCEDURE  ).
