Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TRANSLATE ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the T28 translate ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T28-40 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T28-1 (IGI) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE TRANSLATE ECU
