Inspection Procedure

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH - ECU AND BODY GROUND)

Disconnect the A32 switch connector.
Disconnect the A31 ECU connector.

Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance

RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
A32-3 - A31-4 (MSW)	Below 1 Ω
A32-4 - Body ground	Below 1 Ω
A32-3 - Body ground	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: Go to Next step

INSPECT AFS OFF SWITCH

Remove the AFS OFF switch.

Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance

RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
3 - 4	AFS OFF switch is pushed	Below 1 Ω
3 - 4	AFS OFF switch is not pushed	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPLACE AFS OFF SWITCH

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
