1UR-FSE IGNITION: IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG

(a) Using a 16 mm plug wrench, install the 8 spark plugs.
Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)
2. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

(a) Perform a visual inspection on the spark plug tube gasket.
Standard:

(b) Slide the spark plug tube gasket onto the ignition coil as shown in the illustration.

(d) Install the 8 bolts.
Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)
(e) Connect the 8 ignition coil connectors.
3. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

(a) Install the bolt, wire harness clamp bracket and wire harness clamp.
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

(b) Install the 2 wire harness clamps.
4. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the 2 bolts and nut.
Bolt - Torque: 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)
Nut - Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
5. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

(a) Install the battery tray with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 47 in-lbf)
6. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY Installation
7. INSTALL NO. 1 BATTERY TRAY SUPPORT
8. INSTALL BATTERY Installation
9. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY Installation
10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
11. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation
12. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation
13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation
14. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
15. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

17. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal Repair Instruction - Initialization.
