INSPECTION

1. INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR





(a) Check the resistance.
(1) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.
Resistance:
20°C (68°F)
2.32 to 2.59 kOhms
80°C (176°F)
0.310 to 0.326 kOhms
NOTE:
If inspecting the water temperature sensor in water, prevent water from flowing into the terminals. After inspection, wipe the water off the sensor.
