Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly: Removal: Removal

  1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  7. REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  8. REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
  9. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 8
  10. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 10
  11. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 9
  12. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 11
  13. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 13
  14. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 4
  15. REMOVE NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE  See step  5
  16. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE  See step  6
  17. SEPARATE THROTTLE BODY  See step  7
  18. REMOVE COLD START INJECTOR  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  19. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 20
  20. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Exhaust Side) 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.
  21. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Intake Side) 
    1. Remove the bolt and V-bank cover bracket.

    2. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

    3. Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
    4. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.
  22. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Exhaust Side) 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.
  23. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Intake Side) 
    1. Disconnect the 2 wire harness cramps from the bracket.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and bracket.
    3. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

    4. Remove the bolt and camshaft timing oil control valve.
    5. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve.
