Problem Symptoms Table

If a normal system code is displayed during the DTC check, but the problem still occurs, check the circuits for each problem symptom in the order given in the table below and proceed to the relevant troubleshooting step below.

HINT: 

WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM:

The wireless door lock control system does not operate. 1. Transmitter battery Refer to INSPECTION
2. Enter the self-diagnostic mode. If the recognition code does not match the key code, check that the key code can be registered in the rewrite or add mode of the recognition code registration. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR 
3. Wireless door lock receiver circuit Refer to DTC B1242: Wireless Door Lock Tuner Circuit Malfunction
4. Power source circuit Refer to Power Source Circuit
5. IG signal circuit Refer to IG Signal Circuit
6. Key unlock warning switch circuit Refer to Unlock Warning Switch Circuit
7. Front door courtesy light switch circuit Refer to Front Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
8. Rear door courtesy light switch circuit Refer to Rear Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
9. Luggage compartment door courtesy light switch circuit Refer to Luggage Compartment Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
10. If the symptoms still occur after the above areas are inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
The panic alarm function only does not operate. 1. Transmitter battery Refer to INSPECTION
2. If the symptoms still occur after the above area is inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
The panic alarm function does not operate (Vehicle horn). 1. Power source circuit Refer to Power Source Circuit
2. IG signal circuit Refer to IG Signal Circuit
3. Horn circuit Refer to Horn Circuit
4. If the symptoms still occur after the above circuits are inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
The panic alarm function does not operate (Security horn). 1. Power source circuit Refer to Power Source Circuit
2. IG signal circuit Refer to IG Signal Circuit
3. Theft deterrent system Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
4. If the symptoms still occur after the above areas are inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
The panic alarm function does not operate (Hazard warning light). 1. Power source circuit Refer to Power Source Circuit
2. IG signal circuit Refer to IG Signal Circuit
3. Hazard warning light circuit Refer to Hazard Warning Light Circuit
4. If the symptoms still occur after the above circuits are inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
The panic alarm function does not operate (Headlight or taillight). 1. Power source circuit Refer to Power Source Circuit

3. Lighting system Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
4. If the symptoms still occur after the above areas are inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
The automatic lock function does not operate. 1. Power source circuit Refer to Power Source Circuit
2. IG signal circuit Refer to IG Signal Circuit
3. Key unlock warning switch circuit Refer to Unlock Warning Switch Circuit
4. Front door courtesy light switch circuit Refer to Front Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
5. Rear door courtesy light switch circuit Refer to Rear Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
6. Luggage compartment door courtesy light switch circuit Refer to Luggage Compartment Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
7. If the symptoms still occur after the above circuits are inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
The door ajar warning function only does not operate. 1. Power source circuit Refer to Power Source Circuit

3. Key unlock warning switch circuit Refer to Unlock Warning Switch Circuit
4. Front door courtesy light switch circuit Refer to Front Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
5. Rear door courtesy light switch circuit Refer to Rear Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
6. Luggage compartment door courtesy light switch circuit Refer to Luggage Compartment Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
7. If the symptoms still occur after the above circuits are inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
The illuminated entry function only does not operate. 1. Lighting system Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. If the symptoms still occur after the above area is inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
The answer back function does not operate (Wireless door lock buzzer). 1. Lock position switch circuit (Driver door) Refer to Driver Side Door UNLOCK Detection Switch Circuit
2. Lock position switch circuit (Front passenger door) Refer to Front Passenger Side Door UNLOCK Detection Switch Circuit
3. Lock position switch circuit (Rear passenger door LH) Refer to Rear Door UNLOCK Detection Switch LH Circuit
4. Lock position switch circuit (Rear passenger door RH) Refer to Rear Door UNLOCK Detection Switch RH Circuit
5. Power source circuit Refer to Power Source Circuit
6. Wireless door lock buzzer circuit Refer to Wireless Door Lock Buzzer Circuit
7. If the symptoms still occur after the above circuits are inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
The answer back function does not operate (Hazard warning light). 1. Lock position switch circuit (Driver door) Refer to Driver Side Door UNLOCK Detection Switch Circuit
2. Lock position switch circuit (Front passenger door) Refer to Front Passenger Side Door UNLOCK Detection Switch Circuit
3. Lock position switch circuit (Rear passenger door LH) Refer to Rear Door UNLOCK Detection Switch LH Circuit
4. Lock position switch circuit (Rear passenger door RH) Refer to Rear Door UNLOCK Detection Switch RH Circuit

7. If the symptoms still occur after the above circuits are inspected and proved to be normal, replace the instrument panel J/B (body ECU). -
