Inspection Procedure

  1. RESET MAYDAY ECU 
    1. Exit diagnosis mode and wait for 10 seconds.
      NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for 10 minutes.
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for 10 seconds.
    4. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    5. Keep the engine switch on (IG) for 5 minutes or more.
    6. Check for DTC again (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Current DTC 2-6 exists A
      Current DTC 2-6 does not exist B

      B: CLEAR HISTORIC DTC (See  DTC CHECK/CLEAR   ) 

      A: REPLACE MAYDAY ECU TOGETHER WITH MAYDAY BATTERY AND THEN PERFORM REGISTRATION
