Road Test

  1. INSPECT SET SWITCH 
    1. Push the cruise control switch ON.
    2. Drive at a desired speed (40 km/h (25 mph) or higher).

    3. Press the main switch to the -/SET.
    4. After releasing the switch, check that the vehicle cruises at the desired speed.

  2. INSPECT "+" SWITCH 
    1. Push the cruise control switch button to ON.
    2. Drive at a desired speed (40 km/h (25 mph) or higher).

    3. Press the main switch to the -/SET.
    4. Check that the vehicle speed increases while the main switch is pulled up to +/RES, and that the vehicle cruises at the set speed when the switch is released.

    5. Momentarily press the main switch upward to +/ RES and then immediately release it. Check that the vehicle speed increases by about 1.6 km/h (1.0 mph) (Tap-up function).

  3. INSPECT "-" SWITCH 
    1. Push the cruise control switch button to ON.
    2. Drive at a desired speed (40 km/h (25 mph) or higher).

    3. Press the main switch to the -/SET.
    4. Check that the vehicle speed decreases while the main switch is pushed down to -/SET, and the vehicle cruises at the set speed when the switch is released.
    5. Momentarily press the main switch downward to -/ SET, and then immediately release it. Check that the vehicle speed decreases by about 1.6 km/h (1.0 mph) (Tap-down function).

  4. INSPECT CANCEL SWITCH 
    1. Push the cruise control switch button to ON.
    2. Drive at a desired speed (40 km/h (25 mph) or higher).

    3. Press the main switch to the -/SET.
    4. When performing one of the following, check that the cruise control system is canceled and that the normal driving mode is reset.
      • Depress the brake pedal
      • Pushing the cruise control switch OFF
      • Turn the cruise main switch to CANCEL
      • Moving the shift lever to any position except D (8th, 7th, 6th, 5th or 4th gear)

  5. INSPECT RES (RESUME) SWITCH 
    1. Push the cruise control switch button to ON.
    2. Drive at a desired speed (40 km/h (25 mph) or higher).

    3. Press the main switch to the -/SET.

    4. When performing one of the following, check that the cruise control system is canceled and that the normal driving mode is reset.
      • Depress the brake pedal
      • Pushing the cruise control switch OFF
      • Moving the shift lever to any position except D (8th, 7th, 6th, 5th or 4th gear)

    5. After the main switch is pulled up to +/RES at a driving speed of more than 40 km/h (25 mph), check that the vehicle restores the speed before the cancellation.
