Steering Pad Switch: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and pin and install the steering pad switch assembly.

    2. Install the screw.

      Torque: 2.4 N*m (24 kgf*cm, 21 in.*lbf) 

    3. Engage the 2 claws and pin and install the steering pad switch assembly.

    4. Install the screw.

      Torque: 2.4 N*m (24 kgf*cm, 21 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL LOWER STEERING WHEEL BOSS COVER 
    1. Engage the 2 claws.

    2. Install the lower steering wheel boss cover with the 2 screws.
  3. INSTALL STEERING SHAKE DAMPER 
    1. Install the steering shake damper with the 2 screws.

    2. Engage the 2 harness clamps.
  4. INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  5. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING SENSOR  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 13
  7. INSTALL STEERING PAD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  8. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER 
  9. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER 
  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  11. INSPECT STEERING PAD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  12. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
