Clock Power Source Circuit: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (P-ACC, DOME) 
    1. Disconnect the DOME fuse from the main body ECU.
    2. Disconnect the P-ACC fuse from the passenger side junction block.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P-ACC fuse Always Below 1 Ω
      DOME fuse

    NG → REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLOCK - BATTERY AND MULTI-DISPLAY) 
    1. Disconnect the L38 clock connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L38-7 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L38-4 (ACC) - Body ground Power switch ON (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      L38-8 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE CLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
