Front Acceleration Sensor: Installation

INSTALL ACCELERATION SENSOR ASSEMBLY
1. Install the acceleration sensor with bracket to the instrument panel reinforcement with the bolt
  Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf)
  NOTE:
  - Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor.
  - Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

2. Connect the sensor connector.
INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOLDING (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH (See INSTALLATION )
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.6 N*m (57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf)

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
