DTC Check/Clear

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Lexus LS 600hL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. CHECK DTC (for Intelligent tester) 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF
    2. Connect the Intelligent tester to the DLC3
    3. Turn the power switch ON (IG)
    4. Using the Intelligent tester, enter the following menus. DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / PRE-COLLISION 1 / DTC INFO.
    5. Check for DTCs.
    6. Using the Intelligent tester, enter the following menus: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / PRE-COLLISION 2 / DTC INFO.
    7. Check for DTC.

      HINT.

      As the driving support ECU and seat belt control ECU output DTCs for the pre-collision system, be sure to check the DTCs PRE-COLLISION 1 and PRE-COLLISION 2

  2. CHECK DTC (for Techstream) 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the power switch ON (IG)
    4. Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 1 / Trouble Code.
    5. Check for DTCs
    6. Using the Intelligent tester, enter the following menus Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Code
    7. Check for DTC.

    HINT.

    As the driving support ECU and seat belt control ECU output DTCs for the pre-collision system, be sure to check the DTCs Pre-Collision 1 and Pre-Collision 2

  3. CLEAR DTC (for Intelligent tester) 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF.
    2. Connect the Intelligent tester to the DLC3
    3. Turn the power switch ON (IG)
    4. Using the Intelligent tester, enter the following menus DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / PRE-COLLISION 1 / DTC INFO
    5. Select "CLEAR", and clear the data
    6. Using the Intelligent tester, enter the following menus, DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / PRE-COLLISION 2 / DTC INFO
    7. Select "CLEAR", and clear the data

    HINT.

    As the driving support ECU and seat belt control ECU output DTCs for the pre-collision system, be sure to check the DTCs PRE-COLLISION 1 and PRE-COLLISION 2.

  4. CLEAR DTC (for Techstream) 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3
    3. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
    4. Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 1 / Trouble Code
    5. Select "Clear", and clear the data
    6. Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Code
    7. Select "Clear", and clear the data

    HINT

    As the driving support ECU and seat belt control ECU output DTCs for the pre-collision system, be sure to check the DTCs Pre-Collision 1 and Pre-Collision 2
