How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for current DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR )

      HINT

      For the blinking pattern, refer to the DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ) and DTC CHECK / CLEAR (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

      HINT:
      *: If blinking pattern 5-1 is output, check for DTCs using the intelligent tester or Techstream.

      A: Go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )

      B: END 

      C: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for historic DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
  4. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 

    HINT:

    Even if the malfunction that caused the DTC output during the historic DTC check is fixed, the FAST2 blinking pattern of the current DTC will remain.

  5. CLEAR HISTORIC DTC 
    1. Clear historic DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
  6. CONFIRMATION TEST 
    1. Check for current DTCs and confirm that the FAST1 blinking pattern occurs.
