Inspection Procedure

HINT:

ECUs that are correctly connected to the CAN communication system can be displayed on the intelligent tester or Techstream

1. Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Select the following menu items.
   1. Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / BUS CHECK.
   2. Techstream - Select: System Select / CAN Bus Check

      All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed.	A
      None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed	B

B: GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

A: Go to Next Step 

1. Check for DTCs of all systems by following the prompts on the tester screen

   No DTCs are output.	A
   DTCs other than hybrid control system DTCs are output.	B

B: GO TO DTC CHART  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  )

A: Go to Next Step 

1. Select the following menu items:
   1. Intelligent tester - Select. DIAGNOSIS/OBD/MOBD / BODY SYSTEM / METER / ACTIVE TEST / ECT PWR INDC, ECT SNOW INDC
   2. Techstream - Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test/Indicat Lamp ECT PWR, Indicat Lamp ECT SNOW
2. Check the condition of the pattern select indicator light by operating the tester.

1. Select the following menu items:
   1. Intelligent tester - Select DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / BODY / CENTER CONSOLE / DATA LIST / ECT PWR SW, ECT SNOW SW.
   2. Techstream - Select. Body Electrical / Center Console Switch / Data List / ECT Power Mode Switch, ECT Snow Mode Switch
2. Read the value displayed on the tester.
