- NOTICE FOR INITIALIZATION NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the cable is reconnected.
System Name See procedure Theft Deterrent System Refer toINITIALIZATION Intuitive Parking Assist System Variable Gear Ratio Steering System WARNING:Do not use seat accessories (such as cushions or covers) that cover the front seat. Also, do not modify or replace the upholstery of the front seat. Doing so may prevent the front passenger airbag system from activating correctly, disable the system or cause the front passenger airbag to inflate accidentally, and result in death or serious injury.
NOTE:Replace the occupant classification ECU, occupant detection sensor, seat cushion cover pad, seat cushion cover and seat cushion seat heater as a 5 part set (see appropriate supply set part No.).
- INSPECTION PROCEDURE FOR VEHICLE INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT
- Perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check if any of the following conditions apply. Refer toINITIALIZATION .
- The occupant classification ECU is replaced.
- The passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator indicates OFF when the front passenger seat is not occupied.
- The vehicle is brought to the workshop for repair due to an accident or a collision.
- Perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check if any of the following conditions apply. Refer toINITIALIZATION .
