DCM Data Signal Circuit between Navigation ECU and DCM: Procedure

  1. CHECK NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the J119 DCM connector.

    2. Disconnect the J118 display and navigation module display connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J119-1-1 (USB-) - J118-1-1 (USB-) Always Below 1 Ω
      J119-1-2 (USB+) - J118-1-2 (USB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J119-1-3 (USBS) - J118-1-3 (USBS) Always Below 1 Ω
      J119-2 (USBG) - J118-2 (USBG) Always Below 1 Ω
      J119-3 (VOT+) - J118-7 (VOR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J119-4 (USBV) - J118-4 (USBV) Always Below 1 Ω
      J119-5 (VOT-) - J118-6 (VOR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      J119-6 (VOR-) - J118-5 (VOT-) Always Below 1 Ω
      J119-7 (VOR+) - J118-3 (VOT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J119-1-1 (USB-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J119-1-2 (USB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J119-1-3 (USBS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J119-2 (USBG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J119-3 (VOT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J119-4 (USBV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J119-5 (VOT-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J119-6 (VOR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J119-7 (VOR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      *2 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Display and Navigation Module Display)

    NG → REPLACE NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE 

    OK → See step   2
