Steering Control Ecu: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING CONTROL ECU

    1. Install the ECU with the 3 screws.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

      HINT: 

      • Securely attach the hook (B) of the ECU to the blower.
      • Align the positioning boss (A) of the blower with the hole of the ECU.

    3. Connect the 3 ECU connectors.
  2. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 21
  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  4. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 15
  5. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 16
  6. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 17
  7. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
  8. PERFORM VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM CALIBRATION 
    1. Perform variable gear ratio steering system calibration. Refer to CALIBRATION .
