Control Valve Assembly: Removal: Removal

NOTE:
  • Before removal, be sure to disable vehicle height control by pressing the height control OFF switch and confirming that the height control OFF indication is displayed on the meter.
  • Check the safety of your surroundings and use caution when disconnecting each height control valve air tube as the air in each pneumatic cylinder will be discharged and the vehicle body will lower.
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:
    • w/ Navigation System:

      After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal

      Condition Waiting Time
      Vehicle enrolled in safety connect system 6 minutes
      Vehicle not enrolled in safety connect system 1 minute
    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
  2. REMOVE FUEL PUMP CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
  3. DISCONNECT HEIGHT CONTROL TUBE 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disconnect the 3 height control tubes. Refer to PRECAUTION .

      HINT: 

      For the disconnection procedure of the tubes (type 1 and type 2), refer to Precaution of the Suspension Control System section.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 height control valve.
