Height Control Switch: Removal: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:
    • w/ Navigation System:

      After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Condition Waiting Time
      Vehicle enrolled in safety connect system 6 minutes
      Vehicle not enrolled in safety connect system 1 minute
    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
  4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
  5. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 8
  6. REMOVE COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (HEIGHT CONTROL SWITCH) 
    1. Remove the 4 screws and combination switch (height control switch) from the upper console panel.
