Toe Control Link: Inspection: Inspection
- INSPECT TOE CONTROL LINK
- Secure the rear upper No. 2 control arm in a vise between aluminum plates.NOTE:
Do not overtighten the vise.
- Temporarily install the nut, and flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration.
- Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the 5th turn.
Turning torque
0.9 to 3.5 N.m (9.17 to 35.7 kgf cm, 0.6 to 2.5 ft. lbf) or less
If the value is not within the specified range, replace the rear suspension toe control link with a new one.
- Check the dust boot for cracks or grease leakage.
- Secure the rear upper No. 2 control arm in a vise between aluminum plates.
