Distance Control Ecu: Installation: Installation

INSTALL DISTANCE CONTROL ECU
1. Install the distance control ECU with the nut.

  Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf)
  
  NOTE:
  Do not install the distance control ECU if it has been damaged or impacted in any way.
2. Connect the distance control ECU connector.

INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 24
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 25
INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 26
INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 15
INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 16
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
Refer to PRECAUTION
INITIALIZE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU
NOTE:
When replacing the distance control ECU, perform the following procedure so that the ECU can learn the specification.
1. Be sure to perform the following procedure after replacing the distance control ECU.
  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
  2. Turn the cruise control main switch on.
  3. With the brake pedal depressed, push the cruise control main switch to RES/ACC 3 times within 3 seconds. Check that the buzzer sounds at this time.
2. Perform any of the following to cancel beam axis adjustment mode.
  - Turn the cruise control main switch off.
  - Turn the engine switch off.
  - Accelerate the vehicle to 10 km/h or more.
