Cold Start Injector Circuit: Procedure

1. Inspect the cold start injector. Refer to INSPECTION .

NG → See step   4 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified condition
   E3-7 (STJ1) - E4-7 (E1)	Engine switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V

NG → See step   3 

OK → See step   5 

1. Disconnect the cold start injector connector.
2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified condition
   E57-1 - E3-7 (STJ1)	Always	Below 1 Ω

   Standard Resistance (Check for Short)

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified condition
   E57-1 or E3-7 (STJ1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Reconnect the ECM connector.
5. Reconnect the cold start injector connector.

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IG2 RELAY - COLD START INJECTOR)
