Section 136 (Charging System (Service Information)): Generator: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the generator bracket with the bolt (A).

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf cm, 15 ft. lbf) 

    2. Install the generator bracket with the bolt (B).

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf cm, 7 ft. lbf) 

    3. Install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf cm, 32 ft. lbf) 

    4. Install the bracket with the nut.

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf cm, 15 ft. lbf) 

    5. Install the generator wire to terminal B with the nut (A).

      Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf cm, 87 in. lbf) 

    6. Install the terminal cap.
    7. Install the clamp bracket with the bolt (B).

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf cm, 7 ft. lbf) 

    8. Attach the 2 clamps, and connect the generator connector to the generator.
  2. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Install the wire harness with the 3 nuts (A).

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf cm, 7 ft. lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 connectors (B).
  3. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  4. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 28
  5. INSTALL RADIATOR INLET HOSE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  6. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 93
  8. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 5
  9. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  10. INSTALL NO. 1 INLET AIR CLEANER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 87
  11. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 115
  12. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 116
  13. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 118
