Customize Parameters

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Toyota Avalon. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

HINT: 

The following items can be customized.

NOTE:
  • After confirming whether the items requested by the customer are applicable or not for customization, perform customizing operations.
  • Be sure to record the current settings before customization.
  • When troubleshooting, make sure that the item in question is not set to "OFF" as a result of customization (Example: For the system, "the wireless function does not operate", first check that the wireless function is not set to "OFF", then perform troubleshooting).
  1. CUSTOMIZE 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the tester on.
    4. Enter the following menus:

      Select: Customize Setting /

    5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

    Main Body ECU

    Display (item) Default Function Setting
    Wireless Control
    (Wireless door lock control function)    		 ON Function that turns wireless door lock function ON/OFF. ON/OFF
    Hazard Answer Back
    (Hazard answer-back for wireless door lock control)    		 ON When lock switch on transmitter is pressed, this function blinks all hazard warning lights once.
    When unlock switch is pressed, all hazard warning lights blink twice.    		 ON/OFF
    Wireless Auto Lock
    (Wireless auto lock)    		 ON This function turns the wireless auto lock function on or off. ON / OFF
    Wireless Buzzer Resp
    (Buzzer answer-back for wireless door lock control)    		 ON Function that sounds wireless door lock buzzer for answer-back when lock/unlock switch on transmitter is pressed. ON/OFF
    Open Door Warning ON If any door is not completely closed and transmitter lock switch is pressed, this function sounds buzzer for 10 seconds. ON/OFF
    Unlock 2 Operation
    (Wireless unlock operated twice)    		 ON Function that unlocks driver side door when unlock switch on transmitter is pressed once, and unlocks all doors when pressed twice.
    if setting is OFF, pressing unlock switch once makes all doors unlock.    		 ON/OFF
    Panic Function (*1) ON Function that operates theft deterrent system when transmitter panic switch on transmitter is pressed and held for 2.5 seconds. ON/OFF
    Auto Lock Time 60 s This function regulates the interval between unlocking and automatic relocking of doors. 30s/60s/120s/OFF
    Trunk Lid Operation
    (Wireless trunk opener function setting)    		 0.8 s Changes operation method of transmitter to open trunk. 1tim ON/2tim ON/0.8 s/OFF

    (*1): This function cannot be turned on or off if the security system is turned off.
