Portable Player cannot be Connected Manually/Automatically: Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTED DEVICE SETTINGS 
    1. Check if the portable player is registered as a connected device.
      NOTE:

      If a cellular phone is used as a portable player, it must be registered independently from the registration that is performed for the hands-free system.

      Result

      Condition Proceed to
      The portable player is registered as a connected device. A
      The portable player is not registered as a connected device. B

    B → REGISTER PORTABLE PLAYER AS CONNECTED DEVICE 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK SYMPTOMS 
    1. Check the connection condition between the portable player and radio receiver assembly.

      HINT: 

      The portable player cannot be connected when any of the following conditions are met: 

      • The portable player is connected to another device.
      • The portable player is connected to the radio receiver assembly using the hands-free function.
      • The radio receiver assembly has cleared the portable player registration.
      • The portable player is off.

      Result

      Condition Proceed to
      The portable player cannot be connected automatically. A
      The portable player cannot be connected manually. B

    B → See step   4 

    A: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK AUTOMATIC CONNECTION SETTINGS 
    1. Check the automatic connection settings of the "Bluetooth" audio.
      1. Turn the ignition switch off.
      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON or ACC.

        OK

        The portable player is automatically recognized by the radio receiver assembly.

    NG → CHANGE SETTING TO ALLOW PORTABLE PLAYER TO BE RECOGNIZED BY RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK PORTABLE PLAYER STATUS 
    1. Check the status of the portable player.
      1. Check that the portable player is not in standby mode.
      2. Check that the portable player is not connected to another device (headphones etc.).

        OK

        The portable player is in standby mode and not connected to another device (headphones etc.).

    NG → CHANGE PORTABLE PLAYER TO STANDBY MODE AND DISCONNECT OTHER DEVICES (HEADPHONES etc.) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK USING ANOTHER "BLUETOOTH" AUDIO COMPATIBLE VEHICLE OF SAME MODEL 
    1. Check if the portable player can be connected manually/automatically on another "Bluetooth" audio compatible vehicle of the same model.

      OK

      The portable player can be connected manually/automatically.

    NG → PORTABLE PLAYER IS NOT COMPATIBLE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  6. REMOVE ADDITIONAL DEVICES WHICH USE RADIO WAVES 
    1. Remove additional devices which use radio waves.
    2. Check if the portable player can be connected manually/automatically.

      OK

      The portable player can be connected manually/automatically.

    NG → See step   7 

    OK → END
