Radio Receiver Power Source Circuit (TO 12/2010): Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR 12 SPEAKERS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E31-20 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      FOR 9 SPEAKERS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E32-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      FOR 12 SPEAKERS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E31-1 (B) - E31-20 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V
      E31-11 (ACC) - E31-20 (GND) Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      FOR 9 SPEAKERS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E32-4 (B) - E32-7 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V
      E32-3 (ACC) - E32-7 (GND) Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *A for 12 Speakers
      *B for 9 Speakers
      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
