Sound Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Multi-media Interface ECU (FROM 12/2010): Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the radio receiver assembly and multi-media interface ECU connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E41-2 (URO+) - E35-2 (CDR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      E41-3 (URO-) - E35-3 (CDR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      E41-4 (ULO+) - E35-4 (CDL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      E41-5 (ULO-) - E35-5 (CDL-) Always Below 1 Ω
      E41-1 (USD1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E41-2 (URO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E41-3 (URO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E41-4 (ULO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E41-5 (ULO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
