Stereo Component Amplifier Power Source Circuit (TO 12/2010): Procedure

  1. INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the stereo component amplifier assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E38-2 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E38-6 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E38-1 (+B) - E38-2 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V
      E38-3 (+B2) - E38-2 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V
      E20-12 (ACC) - E38-2 (GND) Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
