Terminals Of Ecu

  1. PARKING ASSIST ECU

    1. Disconnect the F36 connector from the ECU.
    2. Measure the resistance and voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connector.
      Terminal No. (Symbol) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      F36-6 (+B) - F36-4 (GND1) L - W-B Power source signal Always 11 to 14 V
      F36-4 (GND1) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F36-1 (IG) - F36-4 (GND1) G - W-B IG Power source signal Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      F36-14 (ACC) - F36-4 (GND1) GR - W-B ACC Power source signal Engine switch off (ACC) 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the F36 connector to the ECU.
    4. Measure the voltage and check for pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.

      5.8 to 7.0 V

      If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.

      HINT: 

      A waterproof connector is used for the front television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the parking assist ECU with the connector connected.

      1. Waveform 1 (under normal conditions) Reference
        Item Content
        Terminal No. (Symbol) F37-37 (BCV+) - F36-4 (GND1)
        Tool Setting 200 mV/DIV., 50 μsec./DIV.
        Condition Engine switch on (IG), shift lever in R

        HINT: 

        The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the front television camera assembly.

      2. Waveform 2 (camera lens is covered, blacking out the screen) Reference
        Item Content
        Terminal No. (Symbol) F37-37 (BCV+) - F36-4 (GND1)
        Tool Setting 200 mV/DIV., 50 μsec./DIV.
        Condition Engine switch on (IG), shift lever in R

        HINT: 

        The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the front television camera assembly.

  2. FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the front television camera assembly.

    2. Measure the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connector.
      Terminal No. (Symbol) Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      A43-3 (BGND) - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 V
      A43-1 (BCB+) - A43-3 (BGND) Power source Engine switch on (IG)
      front and side monitor main switch on
      5.8 to 7.0 V

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the connector to the front television camera assembly.
    4. Check for pulses between each terminal of the connector.

      HINT:

      If the result is not as specified, the camera may have a malfunction.
