Transfer Control Solenoid: Inspection: Inspection

- INSPECT TRANSFER CONTROL SOLENOID
- Connect the battery's positive (+) terminal and a bulb of 12 V - 21 W to terminal 1 as shown in the illustration.
- Connect the battery's negative (-) terminal to terminal 2 and check if the solenoid operates.
OK
The solenoid operates and operating sound is heard.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition Terminal 1 - Terminal 2 5.0 to 5.6 Ω If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the transfer control solenoid.
