How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the rear view monitor system.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard Voltage

    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding to the next step.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK AND CLEAR DTCs 
    1. Refer to DTC check/clear. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  5. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION 

    Result

    Result Proceed to
    Symptom does not occur A
    Symptom occurs B

    B → Go to step 7 

    A: Go to next step 

  6. SYMPTOM SIMULATION 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  7. CHECK DTC 

    Result

    Result Proceed to
    DTC is not output A
    DTC is output B

    B → Go to step   11 

    A: Go to next step 

  8. CHECK IF SAME SYMPTOM APPEARS IN NAVIGATION SYSTEM 
    1. Check the navigation system.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Symptom does not appear A
      Symptom for the navigation system (for HDD) appears B
      Symptom for the navigation system (for DVD) appears C

      B → GO TO  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

      C → GO TO  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

      A: Go to next step 

  9. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to Problem Symptoms Table. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Fault is not listed in Problem Symptoms Table A
      Fault is listed in Problem Symptoms Table B

      B → Go to step   12 

      A: Go to next step 

  10. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING 
    1. Terminals of ECU. Refer to TERMINALS OF ECU 

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  11. CIRCUIT INSPECTION 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  12. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  13. CONFIRMATION TEST 

    NEXT → END
