POWER ASSIST SYSTEMS: POWER STEERING ECU: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the power steering ECU assembly to the battery tray with the 3 bolts.





Torque : 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the connectors (A), (B) and (C) to the power steering ECU assembly.





(c) Securely lock the connectors (A) and (B).

2. INSTALL NO. 1 BATTERY TRAY SUPPORT

3. INSTALL BATTERY

(a) Install the battery.

(b) Install the battery insulator.

(c) Install the battery clamp with the nut.

Torque : 2.9 Nm (30 kgf-cm, 26 in-lbf)

(d) Connect the cable to the positive (+) battery terminal.

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

(e) Connect the connector and clamp.





(f) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

4. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
