DTC P0617: Starter Relay Circuit High: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Starter Signal.
4. Read the value displayed on the Techstream when the vehicle is driven at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more.
   WARNING:

   When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.

A → CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 

1. Inspect the park/neutral position switch.
   • for 2WD. Refer to INSPECTION .
   • for AWD. Refer to INSPECTION .

B → REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH 

C → REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH

1. Repair or replace harness or connector (park/neutral position switch - STARTER relay - ECM).

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
5. Drive the vehicle in accordance with the driving pattern described in the Confirmation Driving Pattern.
6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
7. Read the DTCs.
