DTC P2111: Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Open; DTC P2112: Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Closed: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
5. Read DTCs.

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   P2111 or P2112 is output	A
   P2111 or P2112 and other DTCs are output	B

   HINT: 

   If any DTCs other than P2111 or P2112 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

A: Go to next step 

1. Check for contamination between the throttle valve and housing. If necessary, clean the throttle body. Also check that the throttle valve moves smoothly.

   OK

   Throttle valve is not contaminated with foreign objects and moves smoothly.

NG → See step   5 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
5. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
6. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
7. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / All Data / Throttle Position No. 1, Throttle Position No. 2 and Throttle Position Command.
8. Read the values displayed on the Techstream while wiggling the ECM wire harness.
9. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
10. Check for DTCs.

A: Go to next step 

1. As the DTC was stored due to a change in the contact resistance of the connector, repair or replace the wire harness or connector. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE .

1. Replace the throttle body assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
5. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
6. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
7. Turn the Techstream on.
8. Drive the vehicle in accordance with the driving pattern described in Confirmation Driving Pattern.
9. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
10. Read DTCs.
