DTC U0235: Lost Communication with Cruise Control Front Distance Range Sensor: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISTANCE CONTROL ECU - MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR)
- Disconnect the distance control ECU connector.
- Disconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition J17-22 (LRDD) - B9-3 (LRDD) Always Below 1 Ω J17-13 (IGB) - B9-5 (IGB) Always Below 1 Ω J17-22 (LRDD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher J17-13 (IGB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Reconnect the distance control ECU connector.
- Reconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor connector.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK DISTANCE CONTROL ECU
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition J17-13 (IGB) - J17-10 (SGND) Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V J17-22 (LRDD) - J17-10 (SGND) Engine switch on (IG) 4.5 to 5.5 V

OK: Go to next step
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- REPLACE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR
- Replace the millimeter wave radar sensor. Refer to COMPONENTS .
- Adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor. Refer to ADJUSTMENT .
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Turn the cruise control main switch on.
- Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.
- Check if the same DTC is recorded. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR
