Removal

AA80E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: TCM: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 clips and air cleaner inlet cover.

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH

5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER





NOTICE:
* Wipe off any water on or around the engine room ECU cover.
* Perform these procedures in a dry place away from rain, etc.
* Do not allow water to enter the ECM through its connector areas, screw areas, etc.

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and engine room ECU cover.

6. REMOVE TCM





(a) Disconnect the 4 connectors.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and TCM.
