DTC B2311: Power Window Motor Malfunction: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW) 
    1. Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the power window regulator motor UP/DOWN.
      WARNING:

      Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function does not operate.

      D-DOOR MOTOR:

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range
      Power Window Driver side power window UP/OFF
      Power Window Driver side power window DOWN/OFF
      P-DOOR MOTOR:

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range
      Power Window Front passenger side power window UP/OFF
      Power Window Front passenger side power window DOWN/OFF
      RL-DOOR MOTOR:

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range
      Power Window Rear LH side power window UP/OFF
      Power Window Rear LH side power window DOWN/OFF
      RR-DOOR MOTOR:

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range
      Power Window Rear RH side power window UP/OFF
      Power Window Rear RH side power window DOWN/OFF

      OK

      Power window operates normally.

      RESULT:

      Result Proceed to
      OK A
      NG (Front LH side power window) B
      NG (Front RH side power window) C
      NG (Rear LH side power window) D
      NG (Rear RH side power window) E

    D → See step   5 

    E → See step   7 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Initialize the power window regulator motor. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
    2. Check that the power window operates normally by opening and closing the window.

      OK

      Power window operates normally.

      RESULT:

      Result Proceed to
      OK A
      NG (Front LH side power window) B
      NG (Front RH side power window) C
      NG (Rear LH side power window) D
      NG (Rear RH side power window) E

  3. CHECK WHETHER PARTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY 
    1. Check that the power window components are installed correctly.

      OK

      Power window components are installed correctly.

      HINT: 

      When the power window components are installed correctly, the problem has been caused by battery disconnection while the engine switch is on (IG) or the motor being overheated.

    NG → INSTALL PARTS CORRECTLY 

    OK → END 

  4. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  5. REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  6. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  7. REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL
