Headlight Assembly: Disassembly: Disassembly

HINT: 

  1. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB

    1. Turn the back cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.
    2. Turn the headlight control ECU socket in the direction indicated by the arrow and disconnect it.

    3. Release the set spring lock as shown in the illustration and remove the bulb.

      NOTE:

      Do not touch the glass part of the bulb.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB 
    1. Turn the cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

    2. Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 1 headlight bulb.
      NOTE:

      Do not touch the glass part of the bulb.

  3. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB 
    1. Turn the turn signal light cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. Turn the front turn signal light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.
  4. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Turn the headlight leveling motor LH in the direction indicated by the arrow and lightly pull it out.
    3. Lower the tip of the headlight leveling motor LH and detach the reflector to remove it.

  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING 
    1. Remove the packing.
  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT REFLECTOR LH 
    1. Remove the screw and headlight protector.

    2. Remove the 4 screws and cover.
      NOTE:

      As the screws are self tapping screws, make sure no fragments enter the interior of the headlight during the procedure.

    3. Turn the aiming screw clockwise, and move the headlight swivel motor so that it can be removed.

    4. Disconnect the connector.

    5. Remove the 3 screws.
    6. Apply tape as shown in the illustration.

    7. Remove the swivel motor as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Make sure not to damage the headlight control ECU socket's harness.

  7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CONTROL ECU LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the headlight control ECU.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the reflector or headlight housing with the headlight control ECU socket.

  8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT GASKET 
    1. Remove the headlight gasket.
  9. REMOVE LIGHT RETRACTOR CONTROL RELAY (w/ Lane Keeping Assist System) 
    1. Remove the 4 screws and cover.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Disconnect the connector, and remove the light retractor control relay.
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT COVER GASKET 
    1. Remove the gasket.
  11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and front bumper bar reinforcement LH.
