DTC B22A0: IG2 Terminal Circuit Low: Procedure

  1. CHECK PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (IG INPUT VOLTAGE)

    1. Disconnect the PK junction block connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      PK-1 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    NG → See step   3 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT FUSE (P IG2) 
    1. Remove the P IG2 fuse from the passenger side junction block.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P IG2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPLACE FUSE 

    OK → REPLACE PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL ECU) 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PASSENGER SIDE J/B - ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 J/B)

    1. Disconnect the PK and 2C junction block connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      PK-1 (IG) - 2C-25 Always Below 1 Ω
      PK-1 (IG) or 2C-25 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 JUNCTION BLOCK - BATTERY)

    1. Disconnect the 2E junction block connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2E-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG) 
    1. Remove the ECU-IG fuse from the engine room No. 2 junction block.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      ECU-IG fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  6. CHECK FOR DTC (B2273) 
    1. Check for DTC B2273. Refer to DTC CHECK/CLEAR .

      OK

      DTC B2273 is not output.

    NG → See step   7 

    OK → REPLACE ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 JUNCTION BLOCK 

  7. GO TO SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Starting). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TABLE
